A well-established company Centurion is seeking an Qualified Red Seal Diesel Mechanic to join their team. Salary will be discussed in the interview.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Grade 12
• Mechanical qualification (completed qualification will be advantageous)
• Any other formal qualification will be advantageous
• Some technical expertise in mechanics and basic auto-electrical knowledge
• Excellent communication skills
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
• Planning and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Accuracy of work
• Work ethics/ Ethical work standards
• Punctual and reliable
• Must be medically fit
• Leadership qualities
• Comfortable learning and adapting to new ideas and ways to work

Key Performance Areas:

• Preventative routine maintenance
• Repairs to vehicles and machinery
• Troubleshoot and problem-solving
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping to ensure a clean and safe environment
• Responsible for stores, parts, and tools
• Assist with basic auto-electrical tasks
• Perform and/or assist with panel-beating tasks
• Ensure access to the tools, parts, and equipment needed to complete repairs and maintenance activities
• Oversee the activities of the mechanic assistant
• Identify mechanical and electrical problems
